FRIDAY: Drizzle will be possible early morning, but most will stay dry through about noon Friday. That’s when a wintry mix should start up in the Pikes Peak region and transition over to snow as the day goes on. Heaviest snowfall will be to the west of I-25 and especially near the Sangres and the Wets. If you can, avoid travel over La Veta Pass through Saturday morning. Snow should wrap up by 11pm and leave behind minimal accumulation east of the interstate. We’re looking at about an inch or less in Colorado Springs and Pueblo with a few inches possible in Teller county.

WEEKEND AND BEYOND: The weekend looks pretty quiet, but Saturday will still be chilly. High temperatures will only manage the 30s and 40s. Sunday will be warmer, with 40s and low 50s. Another chance for snow showers rolls in on Monday/Tuesday, before things calm down by the middle of next week.
