PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - A university is in mourning Monday after losing one of their own over the weekend.

CSU-Pueblo confirms that student-athlete Jillian Abrian lost her life in a crash late Saturday night. Little information has been released on the collision at this time, only that it happened on Baxter Road in eastern Pueblo County and involved two other students. The university says one of the surviving students has already been released from the hospital, but the other is in critical condition.

Abrian, just 20 years old was in her third year at CSU-Pueblo and was pursuing a degree in business administration. She was also a member of the swimming and diving team. The university told 11 News Sunday the team is grieving.

Abrian grew up in Orange County, California.

The school hopes to share more information about a campus-wide vigil or service in the coming days. Counseling services are also available 24/7 for students with the CSU Pueblo Counseling Center at 719-549-2838.

“Losing a member of the Pack is always difficult,” the university said in a statement on its website.
