TONIGHT: Storms remain possible south of Highway 50 and could be on the strong side. This threat should diminish by 10pm Saturday. For the rest of us, a pleasant night is in store with lows in the upper 50s and lower 60s.

SUNDAY: The first half of the day will be mainly sunny and hot... temps will hover around 90 degrees for most before a few pop up storms get going after 1pm along the I-25 corridor. These storms will make their way east as the afternoon goes up and should wrap up by 8pm. Main threats will be quarter sized hail or bigger and strong wind 60-70mph. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out with thunderstorm that develops.

NEXT WEEK: Storm chances will be minimal anywhere east of the mountains. The main story this week will be the intense heat that will last several days... Daytime highs will approach triple digits across the entire state, especially Wednesday and Thursday. Limit your time outdoors and be sure to stay hydrated! By Friday, storm chances will pick back up and continue through Father’s Day weekend.
